Factory alarm sensor
I have a 93 LS with the original factory alarm and factory "power door locks" (passenger side actuator activates when driverside lock is manually opened or closed).
I want to install a keyless entry system and I realize that this will involve having to install an actuator in the drivers side door.
My question is this.....Is there ANY way I can use the factory alarm system in conjunction with an aftermarket keyless entry system? There has to be a sensor that gets signaled when the driver side door is unlocked to deactivate the factory alarm. Has anyone had any experience with locating that switch or sensor and tapping it to send a signal to the factory alarm and instruct it to shut off?
