Smile Problem Solved

Hi everyone, especially wheel centreless ElmerFud !!!

I dropped into T.W.White & Sons this afternoon and I had a chat with Bob, their Service Manager who is the most helpful and knowledgeable Mazda guy that I know.

Anyway he checked his records and they ordered a set of wheel centres for my '97 MX 6 last February before I took delivery of her.

He had four left in stock and I bought them for my pal John's car with the same Speedline wheels as mine.

Apparently they are still available and are 60 mm in size.

These are the same ones fitted to my MX 6 that were shown on 25th Dec 05 ( courtesy of Stoatman ).

Now here's the interesting bit.

They are the same ones that were fitted to the 1994/1998 Mazda MX 5's with Mk1
Stealth Alloy Wheels. This is the MX 5 that has the pop-up headlights.

The Part number is: 810077266
Description: C/CAP (EMBSD) - MCAF 839
Price: £8.20 each inc VAT = £ 32.80 for Four

IMPORTANT:

John is coming round this weekend and we are going to fit them BUT before any of you order them, I will let you know on here that they do fit 100%.

I am sure that they do but I am always cautious.

Take care

Paula

It had the 16" alloy wheels, so it must have been the 2.0i ZXI V6 24v model.

Anyway the wheel centres seemed identical to the one's on my '97 car that has the Speedline wheels.

These are the silver plastic type with the later logo, which must have been fitted at some point by a Mazda dealer. ( There was one missing on the MX6 when I bought it in February 2005, so T.W.Whites must have sourced it from another model ).

So next Tuesday, I will pop in to their Addlestone Service Dept and speak to Bob their Service Manager whose knowledge of Mazda cars is awesome.

I hope that these are the 60mm centres.

Will let you all know next week.

Paula
