Jon should be stripped of his karma forever. I think he was at one time.
Tyler should have been permanantly banned, as in his every ghey post makes an example of why.
I want a definition of the word PRIVATE It more then often seems that private messages are not at all that.

PM = Public message.
If you had bothered to read the rules - you would see that PM's are private... HOWEVER EACH AND EVERY USER HAS THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN WHEN THEY ARE BEING HARASSED.

Jon has been scolded for posting PMs publically in the past, so THIS time he did as we asked him, and brought it directly to our attention first.

You... or should i say asuna, invited us to investigate more by arguing with the negative karma he left you. That was made public on your part - how is that any different from Jon making a harassing PM public?

Asuna - BTW, i've checked IPs briefly.. both this account and your main one resolve to the same provider, aliant.net in montreal, and timeout when it hits the same residential router. I suppose you will tell us its a buddy of yours using your computer? Now we have to go through the tedium of a complete ip history check on both of these accoutns, and if necessary contact your provider, to get to the bottom of this. I'll tell you one thing.. i am not pleased at all to have to spend a sunday doing this... should i find a connection between the accounts - well.. I'll let you go back and read the rules to find out what happens

as for me knowing it all? hardly... as for me knowing nothing.. yah, i guess you're right... i guessed my way through my modifications list.

regarding a definition of the word private... well before that is provided, iw ant you to think about the term "privately owned and operated website" - that's what this is. You have no inherent rights to privacy. Firstly - we don't just go snooping around PM boxes.. However we have clearly drawn up rules against abusing the PM system to harass people. Let me draw up a real world comparison for you.

A person is using the postal system to deliver private, but threatening messages. The harassment gets to a point where it is brought to the attention of the police. An investigate happens, and the sender is found and penalized. The victim of this harassment has every right to have brought it up to the police, because it violates other rules that supercede the right to privacy. (in the real world example - the reasonable expectation of safety - in the case of this site - the rules that were spelled out, and you agreed to when signing up)

Rights, when abused, are lost.
