There's so much BS around about the FE3T, it's great to have someone taking on it. Good call on the homologation issues too. It's obvious the "FE3T" never existed, but also:
The FE3T is never once referred by an official Mazda appellation. Which would be FET DOHC or FE DOHC T.
"FE3T" is rated at lowish power figure. 260 HP is an impressive number for a street engine, but race prepped rally engines made about 300 HP those days.
Rotaries have been Mazda's main interest in motor sports, and their commitment to rally was realized in the BPT powered 323 GTR. Fooling about with FET DOHC really doesn't fit in the picture.
