just a question for everyone how come your not dropping the compression ratio on the de when u super charge it .... ??????

yer oil tapping isnt really big worry. Thats easy enough. My stock fans will do as long as they fit. hood vents definately but later.
I would prefer to have high compression. I dont like relying on boost too much. Running at 5-6psi will be plenty powerful,quick boost and perfect for the kind of racing i do. And plenty strong with right tuning. when these pistons blow (i am counting on it in a few years) they will be rebuilt with forgies but still same compression.
And Nin the engineers thing is weird. I just got a mate of mate who said they paid $450 for turbo conversion on SSS. If it that cheap i will do it. ive heard though of people waving engineers cert to cops and they just ignore and defect anyway because the certs arent really "safe" just that the engineer gave it a tick that it is safe. If you get pulled to the pits the roads authorities can still get you (in NSW). And i have also heard that QLD is heaps easy on mods.
Im just going to cover the Turbo set up as much as possible. Cover hoses, cover turbo with sheet metal box etc. Make it look stock as possible so cop might just give me the once over. Fingers crossed ay
By the way my Turbo set up officaly gets started next weekend when i get my Fuel pump and FPR. Yer! (i decided to skip the coilovers till after the turbo i want boost now damnit

)
