Here is what I'm talking about. The vent holes are under the molding for the 88-89 and on the molding for the 90-92.

88-89:

90-92:

Personnally I prefer the 90-92, better flow potential for the intercooler IMO.

Both have an Erebuni front bumper installed but that makes no difference as to the vent placement.
