I was going to start a thread in the appearance mods section, but instead decided to highjack this one.
This year I decided to do the Brakes, intercooler plumbing and intercooler on my 16g 88GT.
The Brake are I guess a form of low budget upgade, one day when I can aford a big after market upgrade whats left undestoyed of the parts mentioned bellow will get passed on to the 89GT. (so probably just the calipers).

I have a set of 2 piston suby calipers (dont know what year legacy but I took the sliders from a 96 legacy that had single piston calipers so (not GT) boostaddict yes the 96 calipers fit there single and dual piston calipers fit the same braket and slider ..... , I just finished powder coating them today, I had painted them as usual, but decided to try my hand at powder coating.

The brakes consits of:
Front subbaru calipers w/ rebuild kit. (Rebuild kit for both calipers was 38$ cnd).
EBC blind drilled and slotted rotors.
EBC Yellow Stuff brake pads.
Subbaru legacy SS braded lines (post info latter).
AllMazda (Thanks great product, fast shipping, Best seller ever) rear loaded calipers w/brakets. (Brakets powdercoated, just need tool to remove lock clip so I can powder coat calipers).
(Rear disks ??? Probably Brembo).(Suggestions welcome).
Rear pads? There are some in the calipers, I have a few sets of PBR metal master pads and a set of deluxe organic. (ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR BETTER PADS?).
(Also stolen from Gavins info ARP wheel studs and a set of 1/2" wheel spacers).

The powder coating turned out great, I over did it on the cleaning (sand blasted, cleaned in varsol, baked the oils out, cooled, washed in acetone, baked the oil out again, taped, washed in acetone, powder coated, baked 15 minutes, coated again (hot), baked 20 minutes. (all baking at 320 degrees).

The reason I was going to post pics (That didnt turn out right (cell phone)) but the darn Yellow Stuff pads and Hight Gloss Red powder coating look like the Ronald Mcdonald suit colors (the yellow didnt show up right in the picks, it's bright yellow and high gloss). I put red stuff pads on my 89gt they look much better.

Front right caliper and braket coated, rebuild kit and a rear caliper (painted, soon to be sand blated and powder coated).

Here is the left on a spindel w/ disk and pads:

The braided subbaru lines fit like a glove:

I will try and get better shots of the yellow stuff pads and red brakes, I am tempted to paint the pads.

For Canadian members, the Metal Master Pads where 12.26$ cnd @:

The braided lines are from Ebay, there made by magnum:
Cost 66$ us. Here they long outlast the Goodridge lines cause there palstic coated over the SS (we use lots of salt here, the goodgrige lines seem to corode).
Application:
93-01 Subaru Impreza with rear disc
90-99 Subaru Legacy with rear disc
95-96 Subaru Impreza outback eith disc
93-96 Subaru Impreza Wagon with disc
