On my 626 DX 1st gen, im running the stock 2" exhaust, no cat or resinator, and a APC mini race muffler out back, straight through, just like a fartcan only w/o the horid buzz. It makes a nice deep tone. its 2.5" inlet, 5" canaster, and 3" outlet. Im going to make it 2.5" straight pipe to the muffler for more power.

I highly doubt you'll make more power, I'm going to say you will make less. If the power potential is greater than it was before it will be at a level out of your rev range as you will not push enough exhaust form this engine to justify the need for and exhaust system that large. Increasing the exhaust size\decreasing length\increasing length, changes the characteristics of the engines maximum power, as in where and when but does not directly change the amount available. Gain more up very high where you don't make any and lose a bit down low where you used to.
plz think twice about your future exhaust system modification.
