Plenum will be rectangular, 2" width, 3" height. There is 2" of clearance between the two pieces in the picture. I have not decided on plenum inlet. There are two choices I am debating against:
* asymmetric-2"x3" inlet on driver side
* symmetric-1"x8" inlet from firewall side
This manifold will be for boosted application only. For power, its a matter of getting as much air in as possible without restriction. The shape of the plenum is not ideal, but should be negligible at boost. The inlet surface area is my main concern. My throttle body surface area is 7.065 in^2. The asymmetric option is only 6 in^2 but will be easier and cheaper to fabricate. The symmetric option will give me 8in^2 but will be more difficult and expensive to fabricate.

King, don't see your point in ease of removal/installation. Can you elaborate on that for me?

Boyzero, the plenum will attach the two runners together and lie just above the stock fuel rails. See the new picture below. There is no need for custom rails, this design is meant to use stock manifold flanges / rails.
