I had it in my Z3. It is actually easy to install. It depends on your buttom. Mine basicly has all the instruction you need. It took me half an hour to install. But you will have to know the basic wiring system. Because the buttom is just a bypass to start the car.
Like other says, you need to put the key and turn the car on. Then you push the bottum to start the car.
It is mainly for the look, you will have fun for the first few weeks, then you feel it is a dump buttom as you can turn the key all the way to start the car VS turn the car on first, then push the button to start the car.
If you think like my CL500 & CLK500 with "Keyless Go" function, the buttom will disappoint you. If you think you can just leave the car key in the pocket, you go in & push the buttom then the car will start.
THAT IS NOT HOW THE BUTTOM WORKS.
