How is Korea any worse then China or Taiwan? Either one is hit an miss, I would say China is a better shot at quality though, simply because they are bound to get good at making knock off parts. And there is a difference between the actual company outsourcing their production to China compared to some dodgy ebay company who takes a photo of genuine product and gets it replicated in China.
I bet that the bulk of any Japanese brand (Tein, Tanabe etc) suspension stuff (and everything really) is made in China. They probably assemble them in Japan to be able to say "Made in Japan" while 95% of manufturing is done in China as well as materials.
