a few runs down the drag strip doesnt count as extended use. hence you have been ok so far :-)

i'd say 400whp or so (450crank) is a reliable limit for them with a stock stroke!!! once you change that, the ball game is entirely different. (ie, worse)

What do you mean with extended use? IMO, anybody got a daily driving car with 500whp everytime. We use our cars for everything, but obviously, we not use hi boost to run in the street.

"A few runs" with 550whp+ when you use slick tires, a lot of boost, some nitrous, and wheelie bar, the engine suffers more than a 300whp engine in a street car.
