most people dont know this, but the reason Lamborghini started using these veritical doors intially was because the cars were getting so wide (as both the Countach & the Diablo were as wide as an explorer, only with much longer doors), that these doors would have made the car even more impractical then they already were if there were to open horizontally. It had nothing to do with "being original". But yeah, with Caviliers & Civics and other "very high end" cars now sporting these, if Lambo ditched the veritcal doors altogether, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. With the Gallardo being a smaller car, its not
I'll always think the Koenisegg doors (bad spelling) will always be a work of engineering art, the balance of the doors and the hinges & shocks are frickin awesome.
