Hi people.

My 1 yr old refurbed starter motor has given up the ghost. I was worried it was the running gear on the fly. However I have been led to believe that the starter motor itself is at fault.

When starting, there used to be a grinding noise, now there isn't even that. It just whirrs away. As far as I can tell there is a system in the starter that pushes the gears into place when activating - I think this system has failed. At least, I'm hoping that is what it is.

If anyone has one I can grab off them for not much money - I'm talking £10 - £20, I would be very grateful. If you are close enough to Kettering Northamptonshire, I would come pick it up asap.

Help me out here folks - I need the car back on the road asap!
