The neat thing about the JL amps is that they don't care what impedence or how many voicecoils their connected to. I won't go into the technical details, but they put full power into any impedence between 1.5 and 4 ohms, so it doesn't really matter. If that amp is in your price range, it'd be an excellent choice. The Xtant X1001 is also in the same price neighborhood, and would be another awesome possibility. Stick with monoblock amps rated into 2-ohms (JL Audio being the exception), it'd be hard to go wrong.
