All FE engines dohc, sohc 12v, sohc 8v are by nature 86x86, however bore doesnt matter a damn. Only stroke. I know you realise this, but like eraezer said, others may not. The latter quote would be preferred :-p

Correct, not much, you could calculate it, but at the top of the stroke (if your pistons didn't fowl the crank or block) you would be 8mm below deck and your compression ratio would be around 4:1 which is a little too low even for stupidly high boost. Worse though, you would have zero quench.
4:1 is not = 1:1
