Car is not getting any spark

most credit here is due to magik8 because i got this information from his posts, and put it all in one for your convenience

First and foremost, check to make sure your fuses under the hood are intact, as well as the 'ENGINE' fuse under the dash.

Also check to make sure your timing belt has not snapped and is still in good working order. if that's all good follow this diagram

Testing the igniter (GT's only)

white/red stripe: +12v with ignition ON
black: ground
yellow/blue stripe: should be 0-1V with ignition ON - this indicates current flowing through coil.
yellow/black: ignition pulse signal from ECU, should be 0V with ignition ON, engine off.
blue/red: ignition pulse feedback signal to ECU, should be below 1.0V
