Ok car fixing tips 101.

1. Make sure you have spark
A. Have someone crank the car and see if there is a spark
B. If there is no spark, check coil. Check coil for power and spark. If spark goes from coil to dissy, but still no spark, check dissy. Make sure there is 12v to the coil.
C. Check the wires going into the dissy. Make sure they have conductiviy, if none, then replace wire. You will need a mulimeter for this.
D. Check spark plug wires. If getting spark to spark plug wires and getting fuel then inspect spark plugs. Replace if needed.

2. Make sure you have fuel.
A. Although dangerous pull of the gas line to the fuel filter and then start. Make sure you have a rag.
Or a much safer route would be to hook a fuel pressure gauge to fuel line and check for pressure. If your getting perssure you have fuel.
B. Check fuel pump if no fuel. Also check fuel pump relay.
C. For the love of God make sure you have gas in the tank to begin with!
3. If getting fuel and spark check engine and have inspected all items then run a compersion test on the cylinders. You should be over 100psi and the cylinders should be withing 5 psi of each other.
A. If getting bad compression, replace motor and start steps over again.
4. If getting spark and fuel and good compression, check the codes as they may lead you to the problem. If no codes, then check all fuses in engine bay and in car. Check for shorts and bad grounds.
5.From this point you may be ****ed if you cant figure out the problem Consoult your local repair shop for rates on fixing your broken car.
