Whats the first thing I should buy for my MX-6?

Definitley I would reccomend a repair manual if you are serious at all about doing any work on your mx-6.

Chiltons: Basic stuff. Extremely vague. Cheap manual, get em at any autoparts store or ebay. +-$10

Haynes mx-6/626: Little more detail but relatively vague compared to the bible. Not a bad manual over all and will help with car specific problems +-$10

Haynes Probe: Won't help you at all for the body/interior but is much more detailed on the engine. Overall, vague. +-$10

Mazda Workshop manual: The bible, thicker than a websters full of info for the specific year model of you mx-6. It doesnt get any more detailed then this. These will go for around $100 at the dealership but you can usually find them on ebay and get them for $50ish.

So Very Obsessed

In addition to the Mazda Workshop manual, you may want to also invest in a Ford Probe shop manual.

The Mazda Manual is pretty much equivilant to a rather large novel book. Soft-cover pages, and it looks just like a book.

The Ford Probe shop manual is actually a really big folder. Sections can be added, removed, or switched around. It also has section dividers with tabs labeling what each section is.

Another advantage of the Probe shop manual over the Mazda one, is the Probe shop manual has much larger diagrams and schematics that the Mazda book does.
