Motor Mount Repair Question.

I have a 90 MX6 GT. The upper right motor mount has separated. I saw in a post on "Parting Out" forum where a user mentioned he just wanted the old mounts in any condition because he was just going to Poly fill them. That is basically my question.

The mount is in good shape otherwise, and I cannot find the correct one to purchase new anywhere. Mine is off over 1/2 inch from everything I have bought and returned.

Who knows what polyurethane to use and where to buy? I know it is a fairly soft and flexible compound from the new mounts I had bought.

The only other option I have is to use one of the mounts I bought and machine the solid part of the mount attached to the motor. I am not wanting to do this unless absolutely nessessary.

Any ideas on the Poly?

Tks.

Amazingly enough, I have bought 5. None are correct, and the picture on RockAuto.com is the same as ALL I have received. I will yank mine off and take a picture of it and put it next to the one I could not return. The holes on the motor side that connect the 2 studs are off approx 1/2 inch.

rock auto DOES have the correct ones. no matter which mount you're looking for. i wouldn't recommend filling torn mounts because (at least in my opinion) if its more polyurethane than rubber you're going to get aggravated by the vibrations u feel in the car. what i did was filled NEW or used but in good condition mounts, and with that setup i'll be able to put better power to the wheels but not sacrifice as much comfort as full poly-mounts.
