hey I got a question, I was looking at the big rims posts, about which ones fit and which ones dont.. and I saw R33 Skyline (GTST/GTR only, GTS is 4 stud) and
R34 Skyline, does this mean the R32 wheels 16x6.5 dont fit ?They are 16 X 6.5 with a +40 offset. They have a lug pattern (PCD) of 5 / 114.3.

hi my name is zlyricist and i'm a rim noob

so if one was to buy a 17" or 18" rim, would it still fit if it was up to 7.5 or 8"?? my car is dropped 2 inches

and what's the smallest tire you can put on a 8" rim, or does that not matter?? 225s rubbed on my car, and 215's arent the most common size........hopefully im not way off here

any help much appreciated!

I'm thinking of picking up some IS300 rims. Not sure of the dimensions though. "I have a extra set of IS300 wheels and tires i no longer need. They have curb rashes. They are just sitting come pick them up. tires are 30% tread life. I will take any offer. 17"x7" offset +50."

On a 7.5" wide rim, 205 is the smallest I'ld go.. It will look hillariously thin (width wise) unless matched to a taller tire (40-45). And mr. Dumped626, who is banned, is stupid. 205 on an 8" is compleatly retarded. granted 205/40 is not a dangerous stretch, but they are called side walls for a reason. if the side is tucked behind the lip of the rim, you risk chances of bending your rim on bumps, cracking the sidewalls, or even breaking the bead on the tire..
tisk..tisk..tisk.

I am running 215/35/18 because of our damn rear struts. I am dropped 2"/2.2", and have no problems with a 42 offset.

Ok so how do you figure out what kind of offset/backspacing you need when getting a wider rim? I've been reading tons about rims/tires, and I'm even more confused. I think I would like to go with a 15x8 215/50. Basically I'm going for the stretched tire look while getting a wider tire. If I can fit a 9" I would, but I'm having trouble finding a reasonably priced much less a 9" 15 at all. I saw gavin has 10.5's on the front so I'm assume it's possible, also would a 215 even be stretched on a 8" rim?
