you could always buy house carpet and use woodscrews to screw it to the floor. ive seen one redneck do that before, though it looked like absolute crap.

i think this was said, but let it sit out in the sun to loosen up and regain the correct shape.

i just got done dying my stock grey stained ass carpet with some black rit dye. i filled up a trash can with 25-30 gallons hot water, and about 7 bottles of the shiet. stir it up a lot for the first few hours, and then i let it sit in there for 3 days.

the cost was about 40 bucks including dye and a new trash can. it actually turned out a lot more consistent than i thought it would. so i installed it back in yesterday, i'll post pics here in the next day or two

cleaned mine with soap and water and then just got a bucket of black paint and a roller and painted it black, lol

little bit of finishing with a black spraycan and looks pretty cool, just a bit crusty though hehehe

no... they dont come pre-cut... good idea on letting it sit in the sun for a couple of hourse to kinda mold out... the carpet is really easy to cut short in places... measure twice and cut once... i worked from the middle (shifter and center console) out to the edges. Also i had to re-use the factory plastic clips for under the door sill.

Hope that helps

thats the problem with painting carpet or any fabric, it gets crusty. mine still feels like stock, and i honestly think it will hold up pretty well.

here's fresh out of the trash can, and after rinsing off the dye a couple of times

interior isnt put back together, and now the carpet is dirty, but you get the point. passenger side

drivers side

Wow I'd be really tempted to do that but I'm not real sure on how black carpet would look with my burgundy interior.

so i woke up today and got to work on the mazda. i the seats out and then the carpet. when i took it out i found . that the floorpn the the passanger rear was pushed up about 3 inches,,,, so i had to bang it back down to where it should have been. after taht i found a rust spot on the drivers side which did not look small still i touched it and now its about 6 x 6 ( i cleaned it all up) but due to rain. it will have to wait to be welded...........
