frist get seat covers.........

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck finding seat covers for a frist gen mx6. i don't want a one size fits all .....aka walmart special.lol .... plz let me know what you have found and how much thank you .

i have never seen any. if yours are worn, i recommend a junkyard. you can also buy leather skins still from allmazda i believe

get them reupholstered or get racing seats... probably impossible to get seat covers that fit the way they should, so it's gonna look like ass

+1 racing seats. weight reduction and safety ftw. (unless you get $50 racing seats)

i got a price on getting the redone and it will be about 1500 buck. which at the moment is not in the price range. and i like the idea of race seats but i would not get them .. i want the bench to match......

they make racing seat in about any color. if you cant find one to match, get black.

I have a set of new oem leather seat skins for the mx6. Redo the seats with a skin that is made to fit.

I used 8$ seat covers from Princess auto, without modification and work they look like ass. The MX6 seats are the only ones you could do this with (the center of the back rest is actually sepperate from the seat, you can slide your hand through).
I sowed a bunch of bungy straps to the cover and tied them up behind the center cushion so it would take the shape of the seat.
Then I had to take the seats all apart to put the covers on properly, they look OK, I cleaned the seats before I covered them, they came from another car, there blue, I swapped the whole interior to blue (grey is OK but blue is nicer), so if the covers wear out or get ruined, then I'll just cut them off.




And they match the other cheap blue accessories:

i have a nice set of stock seats if you want to come get them. Front and back set. Let me know if you need them.

i know and that is my problem. everything is black in my car . well everything but the seats.................. they are gray and in amazing shape

WOW!! $1500.00 bucks will get you a nice pair of racing seats from most manufacturer's, usually with a set of 4-points thrown in!!
