leaky sunroof
Well my sunroof started leaking after a hard rain in the area so I went and talked to my mazda mechanic who said check to see if it was draining from the four areas that it's supposed to. What I found out was that it was clogged up in the back corner over on the pasenger side. After fixing the clog and then putting the headliner back in I did one final water test and I'll be damned if it did'nt do it again. It is draining out the place in the back that it's supposed to but it's still leaking in that back corner area. The hose does not look like it has any leaks so I'm looking for anymore suggestion on where to look for leaks around the back drain area. THANKS.

Pull the headliner and look at the hose, pour some water over the sunroof and see where it comes throught. Mine leaks too, and although I haven't fixed it yet that is my plan of attack.

I looked at pulling my headliner as I got the "swush" two month ago's.....
I thought it was the moonroof offtrack or sometrack so I asked my mechanic to see if he could adjust it..He told me too much of a job for him to get into.. After doing a search thread last week I found where the drain holes were, so I took it to him and showed him.. He put a piece of small hose and used his air gun to blow out the rear holes... So far so good.. I only get the "swoosh" after a major downpour or a overnight rain... To me a was a great idea.. Any thoughts??? |

i still say to pull the rear trim out and check out the tubes or replace them. Ever since i unkinked that one even if it downpours, which its been raining for almost 4 days non stop and flooding everywhere, my headliner is dry as hell and i have no yet been pissed on since that day.

nothing is better than a "swush" after a hard down poor one day and then the next is a typical 100 degree florida day trying to get to work and you come to the stop sign and all that 100 degree water comes all on to you...
![]() mine was just the rear drain was pinched with the body panel to took all of 10 seconds to pop off the panel, move the pipe, pop the panel back |
