Custom inner trunk panel

Since my trunk is always open at shows and opens like this...

...you could see the unfinished stock inside of the trunk which I didn't like, so I had a custom panel made out of fiberglass to cover the inside of the trunk, with a set of 16cm Hifonics Zeus coax speakers in them (same series as my component system).

I think it turned out really cool and it's another nice detail!

wow that's a pretty cool trunk, you should paint the black though, it stands out and doesn't look as nice. just my .02 but definitively a nice car.

Haha... I don't! I like it clean

Anyway did a little detail work to the trunk tonight. As you can see in the pictures above the trunk used to rest on the bottom rear window trim with the little trim piece of the trunk latch. However all the window trims have been painted now to match the car and ofcourse I didn't want to damage the paint on the trim so I temporarily solved this with a little cloth between the trunk and window trim. Not an ideal solution, so I took off the trim piece on the latch and got a little creative with soem foam and leather:

Then put it back on:

Safe for the paint on the window trim and gives a nice little extra touch

Next up, repaint or clean those trunk arms?

I normally don't like show cars like this, but this is nice. Great job.

lol none... the trunk lid is heavy enough as it is. Besides, the license plate is mounted at the bottom of the bumper and the tail lights are moulded to the car so there's no movement there either.

and thanks

Go on to www. Autoloc.com an look up the filp trunk kit. It's pretty much what you've done but it aligns the trunk over the trunk compartment.
