i was wondering what are the best lowering springs for an '88 mx6 gt and where i can find them because calling around at shops its difficult to find them, it seems like they dont make them anymore so im not sure what to do. ok thanks lemme know what you think
yea. i was really unhappy with the eibach's. but i was looking for alot more of a drop. but there are a great handling spring. but if you want a low spring, make another choice.
Eibach Prokits aren't worth the time it takes to install them.
If the Sportlines are available, they're ok.
“One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that if you drive into London at 6am, half of the cars on the roads are Porsches and Astons. Whereas if you go in at ten to nine, they’re all Renaults. Simple solution, then. You want a nice car? Get up earlier and do more work.”
a friend of mine has megan's with gr2 replacements. It rides fairly decent and is low.
This, and it's cheap.
I have 2nd gen GR2s and 2nd gen Megans. Rides pretty good, very low, and cost $340 shipped at the time.
Ideal? No. It's low enough that it messes up suspension geometry, but it's a macstrut car, never was great in the first place.

i have 2g megan springs on my 1g struts. it can definitely be harsh at times. i think if i put the 2g struts and mounts up front it'll fix her tho
Likely... stroke is shorter, so you aren't starting out almost completely compressed like you do on the 1Gs.

I just lowered my 91 LX and I ran into alot of problems finding springs too. I used B&G springs, from autoanything.com or amazon.com. $187 for the set!!! Awesome deal, 1.6" drop looks great!
I just need to replace all my struts now, the OEM shocks weren't made for lowering! So make sure you get some good shocks too.. I've ordered some Tokico's for mine...
intrax will lower you more then any other lowering spring that ive ran. i always like my intrax. but there more of a 'looking low' spring, then a suspension upgrade. they ride pretty close to stock in all truth. just alot lower.
A friend has some intrax. Lowered the car 1.7 in the drone and 1.6 in the rear. I have B&G's, they lower the car 1.6 for both front and rear. We are really pleased with both. Also, .1 inch is only 2.65mm
