Rebuild

Well I'm about to start rebuild my 91' Probe Gt. As of right now I run 14.60's at the track and I'm tryin to get faster. My mods as of now are boost controller, intake, vaf hack, 2.5 exhaust, and a 75 shot (didnt spray when I ran the 14.6). I have been told to just use cast pistons and also forged pistons... Do yall have any advice on what I should use? And what else might I need to do to help me get a faster time?
Thanks,
Jimmy

you can get more power by using the forged or cast pistons of a higher comp. at your current boost, and with that you wouldnt neccessarily need additional fuel mods. this being said, however, as you already have a boost controller and are planning on a rebuild, make sure all bearings, seals, ect. are replaced and turn up the boost. in doing so make sure you've got enough fuel going to the engine to keep it from burning a hole in your pistons as well as other nasty stuff. the higher boost will help out far more than the high comp pistons will. the stock cast should be good for quite a bit, but if you're thinking about tirepressure levels of boost, then definitely go with the forged, and get a good metal headgasket.

I would suggest getting a Walbro 190 fuel pump. The 255 will just kill your gas milage and not help you out any more.
You can purchase one here: http://www.autoperformanceengineerin...tml#mazda_apps
And the How To is here: http://www.mx6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91785 (1st Gen Project: Walbro fuel pump installation)
