Slicks and weight reduction and great driver skill did more for it
id bet ol shwine coulda pulled some damn good times on the stock turbo as well.
Everything makes a big difference of course, especially the driver. I ment as in the T-Bird upgrade is always doughted to get anything better than 13's and thats pushing it.
Gives me hope with my heavy 4ws car when I install my newly aquired Turbonetics upgrade (T-Bird, partial trade for T3 Super60)

Yup, but up until now, not many people around here even run slicks. Thats the biggie.
On a conservative average, every 1 tenth you pull off your 60', your ET goes down by 2 tenths.
Had I pulled that 1.7x, or say a 1.8, My 13.05 would have been a 12.6 or even better. Hence why I am buying slicks...
Thanks to schwine for providing the info on sourcing them
"On a conservative average, every 1 tenth you pull off your 60', your ET goes down by 2 tenths"
thats interesting to know!
It's not exactly linear, of course it wont have the same effect on a 9 sec car as a 15 sec car, but it is a good rule of thumb to go by with a FWD. Pretty sure that the turbo dodge sites make the same claims.
Another interesting fact is that smaller (shorter) tires will both drop your ET and your trap with the same 60'. How much, I cant say for sure.

My girlfriend was video taping. It's a lot better than nothing. I will hopefully be borrowing my dad's video camera for next time.
the new slicks I used are 2.5" taller, 24.5x8.5x15 . I wanted something taller because I was running out of gear at the end and I wanted something wider for better traction, I didn't want to go into 5th because it wouldn't help. Pics of most of my stuff are on my cardomain, I will take pics of the new slicks.
before I go next time there are a few things I want to do. Get a 2.5" down pipe from ebay...$80 plus shipping I think. Put on the 02 housing I ported. and possibly 2.25" aluminum intercooler pipes.
My goal was to get into the 12's before swapping motors, so I am pretty much done with the f2t, now I am focusing on getting the fe3t done. I am ordering a crank, bearings, and oil pump from RPM machine, thats all I need to finish. will most likley be using an Evo big 16G to start.
