just welded diff pin.
Well trying to get all my stuff ready for spring, so I thought I'd tackle it today, i'll try and get pictures up later. I would also like to thank Gavin, for the great write up, and pictures that he took on the LSD install! Great pictures and helped alot!!! Gave a really good step through, more so that the Mazda Service manual.
Also to note, as you will see in my pictures, it is a safe bet to duct tape around the diff, when your welding, to make sure no spatter get into anything!! Not a good thing to have near bearings, or gears! (don't know if it was even said before) Common sence really, but, for some....well I'll be nice.
That, and if someone has a picture of 5th gear dissasembled, that would help to, as of course mine fell apart, and I was more concerned about getting it back together, rather than pictures!! What a PITA!!!! Pictures would have helped me out, but I figured it out anyhow. It just fell apart when I was pulling out the 5th gear fork!
(the 3 clip things, that sit inbetween the gear, with the twin clips) if that makes sense. If not, when I rip out my broke tranny i'll take pic's.
Not as bad of a task as I thought. It does require some mechanical knowledge, but with some skill, and the resourses here, it isn't bad at all!!!
