Loud Poping under boost?

Ok.. so i got my boost controller fixed finally a while back thx for the help those that did input some information. The past few days when i boost no matter.. if its low like 7 or even high 12-13 once at the high point of my boost.. under full acceleration i hear loud poping noices.. sounds like back fire.. or possible miss fireing. Not sure if its spark plug? or Turbo issue.. Tried to search for Loud noise under boost, and pops under boost and such but couldnt find anything. Any suggestions or things i can do to give you a better idea on what it might be?

Thanks

i'm gonna go out on a limb and say since it was discribed as possibly backfire that its louder than ping. but if it is ping....STOP BOOSTING!!!!!!!! and check your timing

I think that youre blowing out your spark. Re-gap your sprak plugs to a lower gap.

i can do try to do that, like i said it sounded like a miss fire like i was over loading on one cylindar like a machine gun or something going of and then the other day i could hear it in the exhaust aswell caused a backfire, the car its self back fires often anyway has some fule issues and likes to run rich. But i will see what i can do about regapping my spark plugs i just redid my wires with a kit that u make urself.. took for ever for me to get them to even work right. Will try and re-gap them and see if that helps

first dont gap them that low like skippy above said.

try .040 first if it starts to studder in the top end it might be blowing out the spark. then try .038. i wouldnt gap them less then .035.

Check your timing first. You may be detonating and that is bad mojo. Don't gap your plugs below OEM specs, again, bad mojo. Just because it's running fine doesn't mean damage isn't occuring slowly over time. Also, check your plugs, if they are gap are burned white then you can surmise timing may be a factor.

edit: Occams Razor: Don't put crappy gas in your car. Keep it 91 or above. that is all.

I will check timing too.. i spoke with my dad about it and he said it sounds like just lack of fuel in a sense.. but the car runs very very very very rich..... to the point u can smell the gas inside the car when u drive.. so i dont think its not getting enough.. or maybe its to much? but ill try 38 and see what that gets me.. and if not then ill go to 35/34
