Try looking up VF8 instead.
From my undertsanding there is such a thing as a Vj8 that came on the early Telstars...but it could just be you Aussies making stuff up. ![]() BUT, which turbo do you actually have? You guys in Australia had some wacky turbos even though they were the same thing. IE: A VJ11 as I've heard has some different numbers for the TX5's even though it's the same turbo. As if you Australians talking about "hi flowing" or getting your stock turbo "hi flowed" wasn't bad enough. ![]() Last edited by SixSick6 : 6-23-06 at 6:43. |

yawn
RHB52KW-5200 (turbine) 2K P20 (exhaust housing) NR BRKL348CZ (compressor spec) is the entire spec/part number. It's used primarily by Mazda and shares everything including the service kit (bearings). It has the same 52mm turbine, same exhaust A/R, same spec. Just from info I have on hand from work, it's the same turbo as the Vj11 only a different part number for a different country. Take a picture of it or if you have it out and off of the car, take the compressor housing off and measure the compressor wheel. If it's the same as the Vj11 it will measure 52.5mm outter and 36mm inner.

Boost cut has nothing to do with the turbo's ability to produce boost or the size of the turbo. It will have something to do with the time it takes to hit boost cut. Point is, boost cut will still come on when the boost level hits 12psi or what ever the level is. If the turbo is smaller it will spool quicker but may takelonger to pump 12psi of boost.

i had a series 5 RX7 turbo To4 sorta thing, i wish boost cut was a 12 with that thing still woulda been fun highway, but my point is, boost cut was at about 6 psi, there for i assume a smaller turbo would be higher boost cut... just a thought and yeah its sitting next to me now, but i really am too lazy to pull it off and measure, plus i dont have a accurate measureing tool. go spelling. ican take a few fotos though just so you can have a little peak at it? just for fun
good day. Ryan |
