I'm back after 5 years!!!

I just bought me a 1989 mazda 626 turbo hatchback with 185,xxx on 3.16.08.

I bought the car with a MBC, pacesetter catback, greddy BOV, zombie chip(15 psi) and a weapon R intake.

Tonight was my first at the track with a FWD turbo in about 5 years and coming from driving an AWD turbo for the past 2 years it is a big difference. Well i managed a 15.0 with a 2.218 60ft. I am having a problem with a slight lag and also i see my boost falling pretty rapidly as i get up in the rpm band down to about 11 psi. I think once i get the lag taken care of i will get down to the 14.5 range. More news to come...

Welcome back and congrats on finding a 626 GT.

Currently have two 1988 MX-6 GT 5 speeds, both white, one stock, one not. Also have a big ass Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 Diesel for fun.

Figured Id make a "come back" too. Just bought some AWR mounts for my Mx-6.
First new thing Ive bought for the car in years. Rather sad.

Congrats on the car. Man I still want a Touring Sedan.

Anyone want a NICE 1G? :-/

Indeed...

The hatch turbo is just so nice, a bit more room than the mx6 (either we are older/fatter, or we have spouses who want practicality), and it drives the same/is just as fast.

I even think it looks a little better than the mx6....

well i am going to bring my I/C pipe kit that i STILL have. The pipes that i cut out 5 years ago to mach up. i just put my test pipe on yesterday. I have some coilovers in my closet. Going to the store to get some endlinks tomorrow. I have to decide what turbo i am going to go with. Not trying to make a race car out of it i just want a fast little something that i can take to the track and have a little fun with. I pretty much everthing that i want or need, so we see what the future has to bring us.
