Hi guys, I'm fairly new here, been reading heaps but not posting much. I've got a TX5 turbo (ford Australia equiv. of 626 GT) and am looking for part numbers for fron and rear strut tower bars. Can anyone help me??

There is no OEM front strut tower bar.

As for OEM rear bars, there is:

Rear lower tie bar (Mazda calls it a "Performance Rod): G311-28-671B
Rear upper strut bar (just the bar): G311-28-913A
Rear upper strut bar mounting plates: R G311-28-9Z0
L G311-28-9Y0

You'll need bolts to attach the rear upper bar to the mounting plates - I don't have those numbers. (Maybe try a search?) These part numbers are all from my webpage.

$80 for the rear lower tie bar and $50-60 for the rear upper strut bar + plates is not what I'd call "VERY expensive". And yes, I did price these out at the dealer when I had the DX - the prices listed on the collsion repair manual pages are accurate.

Not anymore, I called multiple dealerships. The lower tie bar is $80 (thats ridiculous) the total cost for the RSTB and brackets is close to $150.

For 3 things that you could pull out of a 90-92 Junkyard MX6, yes those price are ridiculous, BUT, try finding a 90-92 MX6GT with those parts in the junkyard

In AZ, the dealership quoted me about $75 bucks for "rod" and brackets for the RSTB. [about 1 yr ago]

I got my RSTB from a Junkyard 91GT for a whopping $15.
just a *little* cheaper than mazda.

I think I might be able to grab another for some one else... if the price is right?
