I have to get my car running good beforehand...but I'm not opposed to it. I might just run them stock, without an FMU. I might get ahold of Jeremy and see if he can burn me a chip??

You are right and wrong. The 195500-1350's which Hostasst points out in his post below yours, have SQUARE connectors and will go right into the 88-89's.
I am holding one in my hand as I type.

I think it is the 195500-2010's that you are referring to, with the oval connectors. But they should work too as long as you can splice in the oval clips. THey are both 460 cc high impedance.

The 88 rx7 used the 1350's and the 89 and up used the 2010's. This is according to rebel2k4.

Someone left a few important things out. You need to go by the color of the "Top" (the female plastic connector) on the injector AND the part #. From 1988-on, they were all High Impedance, while the 1988-only injectors had the square plug/connectors (identical to our 88-89 connectors).

While the Part# 195500-1350 (460cc) comes in High Impedance, that same exact Part# comes in Low Impedance (1986-1987 models) also. Same is true for the 550's (Part# 195500-1370) between the '86-'87 and '88 injectors. Same Part#, different resistance.

Now to distinguish whether they are High or Low Impedance, you need to look at color of the "Tops". The 1988-only 460's and 550's both came in only Purple Tops and the 86-87 460's are Red Tops and the 86-87 550's came in Tan/Light Brown Tops.
Remember, the '86-87 and '88 injectors share the same part number and connectors ("pigtails"), but have much different resistance. This is the best way to distinguish whether you're getting low or high resistance.

Your best bet is to find '89-'91 injectors in 460's (part# 195500-2010 - RED TOP) or 550's (part# 195500-2020 - PURPLE TOP) to reduce all this confusion. These injectors do have the oval top, which plugs right into our 90-92 connectors (pigtails). I prefer these style of the tops, because it is much easier/quicker to remove the connectors from the injectors instead of taking off each retainer clip on the connectors to remove the connector.

Wow I think you just confused them even more...
Here is a FLAWED color chart that is sometimes correct that people seem to refer to:

Low- 1.7 to 3.0 ohms (Peak and Hold Driver/Injectors)
High- 10 to 16 ohms (Saturated Circuit Drivers/Injectors)
1986-87 RX-7 195500-1350 Peak and Hold 460cc Red Top
1986-87 RX-7 195500-1370 Peak and Hold 550cc Tan Top
1988 RX-7 195500-1350 Saturated 460cc Purple Top
1988 RX-7 195500-1370 Saturated 550cc Purple Top
1989-91 RX-7 195500-2010 Saturated 460cc Red Top
1989-91 RX-7 195500-2020 Saturated 550cc Purple Top

Now, having read that...
I just checked a red-topped 195500-1350 I had here and it is NOT Peak and Hold (low impedance) DOH!!!

So the colors are NOT always correct! Stupid Denso. It would appear that they ran out of Purple and switched to Red resin 1/2 way thru making the 195500-1350's!!! When I called and asked them about it, they said, "Why are you trying to put RX-7 injectors in an MX-6? " ( I hung up while mouthing "mutherf**kers").

So I called witchhunter.com. They do nothing but rebuild injectors. He said "Denso is stupud. Forget the color, go by the notch."

On the square connectors, if the notch/indentation on the OUTSIDE of the connector is offset, it is HIGH impedance. Mine was offset to the right. If the notch is in the center (not the notch inside the connector), then it is the low impedance connector. The BOTTOM line was, if it plugs into your stock harness, then it is correct for your car's ECU.

Are there any transmission thrust washers which would be compatible with the g4a-el tranny? I can't find a set anywhere.

lol....I like the orange cruise knob. it's serious bidness.

I think I might perform surgery so that the high beam flash doesn't work when you pull back. it's just three pins I need to pull.....
