FlatlineNJ.....have you gotten a Db reading of your car on track at WOT at 50ft?, 100ft? If so what was the reading?
Is the exhaust both catless and without a resonator , resonator only or straight through exhaust from the turbo outlet? If a resonator, how many and what length is used?
At most tracks i'm at 92, sometimes 94. The exhaust is straight through pipe right out of the turbo. Also- i believe that the SCCA takes sound at 50 feet and it is usually in a spot on the track where you are full on. They do take sound at every race, usually twice during qualifying, and twice during the race and post results at timing and scoring.
If anyone has a question, feel free to e-mail me at flatlinenj@aol.com, I usually try to check it pretty often. Another thing- On September 3rd I'm going to be running the car at a track day for the Corvair club at pocono. This track day is open for anyone to attend and run their car- no experience necessary. I went to this last year and it was very well run and a good time. Ill be there with my car provided it doesn't break at the four hour enduro in New Hampshire at the end of the month. If anyone is interested in running at pocono I understand there are spots left. E-mail me for info if you are interested or just check out their site at bayshorecorvair.org
i don't have the money to buy your car, but out of curiosity - just how much suspension work has been done. That would prob be the biggest thing to get people's attention.
'91 GT Running again! - $55 engine on MS ftw
'96 accord beater - $500 + $500 in parts.
MTSU Formula SAE - not mine, but i get to build it and drive it!
(Turbo Lag - Turbo Power) + Hype = VTEC My IHI turbo page
Yeah good luck selling it here. You'd have a much better chance selling it to someone in your driving class than MX6.com. It's still worth a shot but there's a 99.99% chance that nobody will buy it because they don't have the same use of it as you do. Same thing as here: http://www.mx6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97757 (Pics Of The Beast)
ray, its interesting that you said that about the wheels. that was the first thing i noticed too, only thing is, i'd prefer they sucked the air from under the car to help reduce pressure under there. wouldnt cool the brakes as well, but wouldnt be bad either. mclaren merc slr has "turbine" wheels too.
