F2/F2T windage tray/block brace dimensions and photos request.

Can someone give me the dimensions of the windage tray that comes standard on the F2/F2T motor?

i'd like to know its thickness?
its height from the block (peak)?
where the holes for dipstick and pickup are?
what other perforations there are in it?
where the standard pickup mounts to it (i believe the pickup mounts to the tray not the block like fe and fe3.

can anyone provide a decent picture of it from a couple of angles? this would answer half of the questions above.

i'm baffling my sump very soon (tomorrow if you guys come through with the goods :-) , and i intend to use this item to keep the oil in the sump, i'd like to not install baffles where that thing will need to go.

perhaps some of sicks 400 odd photos will include this?

cheers for any assistance :-)

fred.

That's all I've got for now but I'm almost positive that I posted a few pictures of the tray itself (not in a Yahoo album) somewhere at some point. If not I have a spare at home (somewhere) otherwise I'll have to take the pan off my spare F2 and than won't happen tonight or tommorrow morning. If I can find the spare windage tray without waking up the entire house then I'll take a picture of it tonight.

and i'll give you a k biscuit for helping me out! possibly the first one? and you'll deserve it.

BTW the reason i've decided to do it tomorrow is that i'm already doing another sump tomorrow, a C series cummins sump for our boat, it was suffering surge in big head seas. the motor is out being rebuilt right now(insurance job) it ended up full of salt water (OUCH) and it sat in there for 50 days while other repairs were being done (BIGGER OUCH) the turbo is siezed too.

sick, you would have LOVED the turbos they had at that place! serving plate sized, and even a big detroit diesel v8 with a house sized modified roots supercharger on it.

many cool things.

cheers :-)

that wasnt aimed at you, others must have them collecting dust too. its not really urgent. i can work on the wings first for example, or the cooling plumbing for the head, and a 1000 other things, i just wanted to do it soon thats all.

take your time.
