coolant hose blew?

so i was parkin at work this morning and saw some smoke coming out from the hood......wasnt even driving the car hard at all. i only had a minute to look at it but, it was pissing out coolant (i'm pretty sure it was coolant) underneath the fuel rail. it looked like it was a hose that hooked on around the back of the motor, but like i said i didnt have much time to look at it. it was all over my injectors and in that area was a small puddle.

is there a diagram for coolant hoses? if so can you post it, or maybe a part number to order a new one! thanks in advance!

How can anyone post a part # if you don't know what hose it is? There are more than one.

well shame on me for thinking there is only one coolant hose in the area, heres the best engine bay pic i could find

i'm 90% sure it's that hose, but it seems to be cracked a little further down, and is pissing through around in between the 3 & 4th injector

besides that big hose there are a few small hoses that go into the throttle body area, i had a pin hole leak in one of those that i could not find very easily fixed in a few min after i found it.

ok i found out which hose it is, and it's the one that goes from the engine to the heater which shows in the diagram joel posted. only thing different is that it has a loop in it, but i'm certain it's the one.

i called the dealership and the people that work their suck ass and are rude. they faxed me a diagram that doesnt even include that hose. so automatically they think i'm stupid and dont know what i'm talking about.......can someone please help me with a part number for that!?!

That hose blows!

I would tend to think it'd be this hose on you over a heater hose. Its a fairly common hose thats well-known for going.

I'd take it off the hose and take it to your local schmucks or autozone to see if they have something in stock

It's usually best if you go there in person, they usually take you more seriously and you can look at the diagrams on the monitor.

If its the coolant hose from the intake to the TB, Napa stocks one for it. I ordered mine through them and they had a part number for it. You'd save a lot more through Napa on a hose like that than with the dealer.

wow!
it has been a bad week.
My LX (the errand runner) was on the interstate last week, and blew the TB coolant hose.
my little brother was driving it, and didn't notice untill it got past half temp.
He is a moron, but pulled over and called AAA.
now the head is salvagable, but the gasket blew, and is blowing smoke....HooRAy.
it is idling high because of the idle selenoid being gunked up with [shizzle].
Have fun sustaining the life of your six!
hope it all turns out well.
