ANyways, you know me being a 17 year old and all, i proly ran a little to hard and well, i have been noticing a wierd noise in the engine somewhere (haven't got a clue where it is from yet, haven't checked) but it sounds like a weed eater almost. Only at 1200 to 1600 rpm tho. i was thinkin maybe somethign was stuck on somethign spinning fast OOORRRR maybe there is a vacuum leak that is just vibrating something something small. I dunno any ideas is good. Thanks

91 MX6 LX - Sold Feb.03
2003 Focus ZX3 Full German Conversion - Trying to sell for another 1GB, haha.
i actually had a look at the engine yesterday,a nd it is the header. there is a leak right there. that would explain why the noise goes away after it warms up, because the header heats up and expands, sealing the leak. but it cools and leaves that hole for when i restart it. Thanks guys!
where is the leak? in the actual manifold or between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head.
Saw this a couple times. One of the six bolts mounting the header onto the cylinder head was cracked so the exhaust gas burned right through the gasket and was leaking. Sounded like a bike w/ baseball cards in the spokes. One car had 4 broken bolts, only 2 held his exhaust manifold on.
The cylinder head had to be taken off and the holes machined. You better hope you didn't break any bolts.
Its right between the header and the block. I haven't been able to check it. Me and my friend think it is also leaking at the plugs. I also need to know how im supposed to set the valve timing. They are clicking and i want to fix it. I have lost a lot of power to this to. the valves aren't opening as far as they should probably. thanks!
