lies!

Dutch runs 18x8 with a 40 offset w/225/35 rubber

yes, the 18x7.5's will fit....make sure your rubber is smaller than 225 wide. I'd go with a 215/35 width tire IIWY.

225s definitely rub w/o spacers, people that dont have fitment issues with those have some weird tires

seems to me that no person has the same experience because some people say they have rubbing issues with once size and another person will come on and say they have no problem. I'm just going off what i've read here. I have 17x7s with 205/40/17 and I have no rubbing at all

I have the exact same on mine, with a 42 offset i belive, and no issues!
I could even do a 215 with no problem....

as far as a 225.......umm, probably not, as it was said, without a spacer, or a different offset.

unless Dutch runs a different 225mm width...his don't rub.
