Mount it somewhere where your window won't get smashed for a $99 GPS.

your hearts desire.......

If your gonna stick it in the dash i'd go for the extra space under the radio if you have an aftermarket system in it. If not put it next to the vents. But your not going to really be able to read it or look at it easily unless you put it eye level. Maybe velcro it or somethin to the area by the sunroof.

The piece that hangs down by the rear view mirror. Try that.

I would NOT put the GPS under the radio, you can't even glance it safely down there. I'd mount it on the A-pillar, or in the sun visor.

how big is this thing anyway. are we talking like a 2 inch screen or what. I would just stick it like either what STW was saying or mount it near the roof.

not on a 1G, but this should be applicable. i ran a power wire up my a pillar and into my headliner so the end comes out just around the rear-view mirror. I have the GPS mounted on a suction cup mount just to the left of my rear-view. No visible wires, and can be easily removed/hidden when driving in the ghetto.

i like where you picked. If you took the grill out and dremeled it a bit i bet it would be a great fit. Only prob would be the hot air coming out. You would have to block it off but i don't think that would be too hard. Taking out that bezel is super easy. Just be known there's a screw under the vent flow lever. I bout broke mine off trying to figure out what i was missing.

ok wait, your going to make a fiber glass mold but not to mold the actual GPS in? Why make a mold only to hold a strip of velcro. Just dremel it out and mount the GPS in the vent hole that way it won't fall out. If you want to hide it maybe have a blacked-out plastic slider.

It wouldn't be hard to do. Its your car though i suppose.
