What should I do about Fuel?

Hey guys I am getting a 16G turbo my F2t and I am trying to reach 300HP. I am looking at a fuel setup but Im not real sure what I need to go with. Should I go with a 190 or 250 fuel pump? What Fuel Pressure Regulator? What size injectors? Is there anything else I would need? Thanks

you need atleast 460cc's to make 300hp. i made 298whp on rx7 460s

you can use a fpr, and fmu setup to control fuel. at 300hp you will need to control timing, or use race gas. 190 walbro will work just fine

sorry guys for my ignorance but isn't a fpr (fuel pressure regulator) and (fmu Fuel management unit) the same thing? Whats the difference? They both sit on the return fuel line to up the fuel pressure right?

Nope. Different items. An FMU increases fuel pressure per the amount of boost you run. An AFPR just increases/decreases base fuel pressure.

So you need an AFPR to adjust the base pressure for the bigger injectors, then the FMU to control the extra fuel under boost.

so then does it matter which one comes first on the return line? i would imagine it would be fuel pump - engine - fmu - fpr

Yeah, on DOHC 16v DSM motors. Not SOHC 12v stump-pullers. Theres a huge difference between a F2t and a 4g63.

Also, IIRc there's 2 models of the 16g (Big 16 and regular). I suppose the power outputs differ between the 2.

Its a big 16g and it'll have no problem gettin 300hp, there are a ton of dsm guys hittin well over 300hp on one so doing it on a f2t should be no problem either.

Yet Nick barely got over 300whp with a massive t04e. And Z barely got 300whp with a fairly large turbo also.

Im thinkin now some 550cc injectors or bigger. 460s would prolly be running pretty high IDC with what im wanting hp wise.
