Question Tire chains?

I'm going to take a trip up in the snow this weekend and I haver never put tire chains on my '88 MX-6 before.

I bought the basic cable chains a few years back but I always wondered if it was safe to use them because how close the tire is to the strut. I have 185/75 14's, Toyo Eclipse tires on it, with more than 50% tread.

I have driven it in snow before, just with out chains and I have put tire chains on cars before, just not this one.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt worry about the fronts. theres a decent amount of room between the tire and the tower.

if youre putting them oin the rears also tho, Id watch out.

Thanks, I just went out and checked, and you are right about the fronts, I guess i had been looking at the backs, and there is not much room there.
