Solid Lifters?????

I have heard about the HLA's when they tick they are stuffed but what will stuffed lifters do to the engine?

and can you buy solid lifters for out car?

they tick because no oil gets in because the passages are clogged. I don't think solid lifters are availble

Actually, I've heard from a Mazda technician that you can use the solid lifters from the B2200. They make their own noise, and you WILL have to adjust the valves periodically. I didn't get a whole bunch of details out of him about what needs to be done to switch them out though. Presumably just get the solid lifters and change them out. Anyone know more about this?

Current mods: 2.25 inch exhaust with no cat and no muffler <sounds like crap> - 205-50-15 Nitto NT 450 Extremes - Autometer Phantom series boost gauge - Manual Boost Controller - 5th Fuel Injector - Rewired Fuel Pump - Best time of 15.1 at 93mph with crappy 2.45 second 60' (Time was at 11 psi with 4 bad motor mounts and no fuel pump rewire or 5th injector) - Also now have a 1990 Probe LX.

A few weeks ago a guy on this board with a B2200 said that his engine had HLAs, not solid lifters.......but I believe the consensus was that the trucks had a 8v motors.
