im on my 3rd engine and never had that happen b4 i have 2 trannys in the backyard and they have sat like that for 7 monthes and over a year and they are fine :S. first time its ever happened.

i want to take it apart just need to find some time.

car is back together drives fine, motor mount feeling is gone. breaking in clutch now.

Old 6 puck DXD clutch/pressure plate

when i took off pressure plate/clutch the front of pilot bearing fell off

close up

clutch

went all around town no one stocks my bearing so rented a removal tool and pulled it from a block in back yard. (new bearing/old bearing)

pilot bearing hole

new clutch on

Tranny back on, that was a bitch lol

tightening up tranny bolts

new lower control arm/sway bar endlink, and new inner tie rod that is now rusted

tightening up starter bolts

so went 55kms so far and it makes a little noise while starting off, the clutch/PP had a bit of rust from sitting so long so hopefully just it burning off, shifts fine, grabs good.

also when putting driveaxle back in relized when removing it came apart now the strut bolts wudnt go in cuz the axle wudnt compress inwards, had to take boot off and repack bearings into seats and return "retaining clip" back into place. you can notice from this pic the inner boot is stretching cuz its apart.

Thanks for looking

Brandon

good to see its back in action again man!

And I've never had it happen to one of my tranny's either before, but, to be on the safe side now, as I seen what can happen, I usually just put a peice of wood in there.

update 4250 KMS on clutch and its working flawless no bad motor mount feel everything is all good. the weird noise i heard when engaging was found to be the fly wheel cuz of the grooves it had from resurfacing. went away after break in.
