Sunroof adjustment???

Ok so i got in today after doing my gauges last night which i need to get my camera cause they are ballin with my 92 civic modded pod..........

anyway i got into felt a little wet, my seat was bearing wet but i just figured it was because all the rain and i know my sunroof from time to time leaks a little. I put it in reverse and bam, like a gallon or so of water dowses me. I've always wandered where the seal is. I was told the trim around the steel sunroof is just for wind noise, but where is the seal......

I have also noticed that when i try to pop it up it does want to and after rolling it closed from its all the way back posistion the rear of it doesn't go level with the roof line. I have seen to little black platic pieces with screws in them. THey have 3 lines so do i just need to adjust ma' [shizzle] or what.

You know, my sunroof doesn't want to go flush with the roof, either. I have to push it in place. Also, it doesn't tilt at all...

1.) The sunroof motors are weak at this age. You will likely need to give the roof "a little help" to get it flush with the rest of the roof as it comes back into position from being slid all the way back. You'll also likely need to give it same help to tilt up. By "little help", I mean push upwards on the glass while hitting the tilt/slide switch.

2.) There are four drain lines at each corner of the sunroof opening. Sounds like one of them is clogged and water is sitting around the sunroof. The water pooling up due to clogged drains is the problem you need to solve, not replacing any sort of seal.

well do the rear drain lines dump into the wheel wells? Cause i have a feeling it either got painted over or sealed in with undercoating.

Front drains dump into the front wheel wells, rears dump into the vents on each side (left/right) of the rear window glass.

Use some lubricant, obviously a kind that is safe on plastics. I used graphite on mine about 2 years ago and have yet to have to "help" it back up again...

The front drain hoses come out at the bottom of the front fenders, the rear drain hoses come out at the bottom of the vent looking things at both sides of the rear glass. I hate taking the headliner out it took me 3 hours at least to get it out to check on my rear drains and the hoses also.

My drains have been leaking every once and a while as well, I hope it's just a kink! Here's a picture of where to spray the lube for the sunroof.

i've done that, and greased the rails with some silicon lube. Doesn't seem to help the tilt at all but helps it go back just fine. I may try the graphite but i don't tilt it that often and pushing up on it once seems to fix it for most of the day. Going back down and back in the roof seems to take a little help from me but the same thing. Once its in its posistion it works flawlessly.
