my lx is getting slower..

3 days ago i bought 2 new front tire, 195 -65-14 and put it on the lx, just arrived from the track, had 8 runs

1st i try to launch on nitrous , big mistake, the car spun and spun let off twice and get back on it and ran 10.4 @ 71mph. well not bad,

2nd run, i launch on motor and activate the nitrous in 2nd at 3000rpm to start spinning , lift the gas once and get back on it and ran 10.0@77mph

3rd run.. this time i launch at 1500 rpm on motor , activate the nitrous in 3rd and ran 9.5@ 79.1mph

4th run launck and motor activate in 2nd around 3500rpm, spun but not as bad as previous run, ran 9.2@ 81.2 mph

the other runs is between 9.7-9.9 with me lifting the gas couple of time, i was awarded the crowd favourite today, nice

so best time is 9.2@81mph
worst time 10.4 @71mph.
even lifting and trying to get traction, i still beat most cars there,
best 60ft 2.4
worst 60ft 2.7

this is all on 113hp shot nitrous.

my previous best was 8.5@86mph on 87shot with intake spacers, since then i took off the spacers, rota lightweight rims replaced with stock rims and added 20lb to the car.

all in all not bad

not bad at all. its nice to see people try nitrous as a means of power instead of making 20 threads about how their turbo install is awesome and how their motor blew cause they had no idea what they were doing.

How light were those rota rims compared with the stock rims/
What was the additional 20 lb on the car?

I have trouble beliving that the intake spacers made much difference, which suggests to me that most of the difference is the rims, assuming that you stayed the.

One would think that the 113 would be better than the 87 shot....

What a difference those wheels made, eh? Or did your driving just suck in comparison to before?


Speaking of wheels, I just bought a set of the lightweight '95 Milena wheels .. 11.5 lbs vs 18 lb stock.. I'm looking forward to the difference of a loss of 26 rotating pounds...
