Question quick question about different year engine swap?

I own a 1990 mx6 gt turbo with a 5 speed. The other day i blew my lower end of the motor and just purchased a 89 motor for it to replace the blown one. Now the question is what all is involved in the swap to make it compatible to my comp and wiring? I was told my intake is one piece but was wondering if I take it off right from the block or what? Was also told distributor and thermostat housing. Any other advice on this swap is much needed and appreciated. Thanks 2 all who help and have been a help up to this point!

Also I will be running boost control with a 2.5 straight back exhaust and cold air intake, and was wondering which chip is good to use, and whether I should upgrade my injectors or not, and what else might be good to upgrade?

i think one of the water temp sensors is different but its quick swap
zombie or probinators chips are probably your best bet
leave the injectors alone unless your going to a big turbo

The 88-89 have 6 wire distributors and the 90-92 have 4 wire distributors. If you put the whole 89 engine in you will have to change distributors. As for the temp sensor i think you could just unscrew the one you dont need and screw the other one you need right in its place. Thats all i can really think of right now....

Strip all of the electricals, sensors, distributor, coolant routing, etc off of the old 90 GT motor and transfer them over to the 89. Only use the bare head/block mechanicals from the 89 GT motor.
