swap

I have a 91 LX NA 5spd. and want to swap the engine out. I found a 91 NA with a good engine but an auto. It seems like an easy swap. I will keep the 5spd. Is there any major issues between engines? Also is the exhaust the same? My exhaust is rough and the donar is good.

I did a search but nothing was really helpfull.

Thanks

Wayne

i think the auto has the flex pipe under the engine, but that also might be only on the turbo models so im not sure. as for the swap it should be easy, you'll have to remove the flexplate on the new motor and put on the flywheel from your old motor to the new one.

My 5spd and this auto have the flex pipe. I think it is the same. Cool thanks for the info. I thought it would be no problem.
