another 1st gen spotting in a movie?

ok,firstly, if its a repost I'm sorry.
second if it isn't a mx6, i'm also sorry! LOL

I was watching one of my favorite movies on tv again last night, and I think I spotted the rear corner of a first gen (a)

Gone in 60 Seconds.
When Randal and Kip are in the coffee shop, when Kip goes out to tie the cable from the "big rig wrecker" unto the car, it looks like there was a drivers side corner shot of a mx6 there.

It was a dark part in the movie, and there was a glare on the screen of the tv, but the tail light, and spoiler looked like it might have been an 88-89 mx6.

(I don't have the movie on DVD)

Just wondering if someone does, or if anyone can verify.

What's the obsession with our cars in movies? I would understand it if they were an integral part of the movie, like the Z car in Bruce Almighty, or the Regal or 5.0 in Menace II Society...but background shots? Really?

Maybe I just don't understand.

Really?

I'm not jumping for joy at all, its just I was curious thats all.......

now would I really love it to see a car chase or somthing in a movie with an mx6......

meh, it'd be cool to see, but it wouldn't be any different either way.

I just like seeing 1st gens thats all! There rare to see in person, let alone in a movie.

I was waiting to see if that was indeed the car he was talking about, since I thought everyone in the world knew it was an S7...

I think he was referring to the Z car that Bruce has at the start of the film guys...

As for the original post, the film has an MX6 yes, but it's a bit part with a DX in a film about drag queens... I'm not sure if it's really something to tell people who ask about your car

I almost bought a 280z a while ago, and my first car was almost a 24oz'er
didn't have the cash for the 280, and the 240 was a bit too rough.
oh well maybe someday.

What i'd really like is a little 510.

You should get either one. Z's are great and their suspension setups are unbelievable. 'Dimes' are great as well...especially when you stuff an SR20 into one
