I will definitely ask him about the factory rims, but I already told him that I would give him $2000 for it. I'd kind of feel like a dick going back on that. Either way, I feel good about what I'm buying and I am excited to start driving it.
Stupid new government hours... I can't get it registered until Monday! |

Dude BUY the car!!! $2,000 totally worth it! I looked for months for another 1st gen MX6 GT and couldn't find one in as nice condition as yours! I have owned two 1st gens and can't find a funner car for the money.
My latest 1st gen was a theft recovery car that had the [shizzle] beat out of it from the previous owner and the theives! 190,000 miles and still runs strong and beats those pesky riced out HONDAs. I have even beat turbo charged civics and my car stock. Dont wait around and let someone else get it. I would have bought it if i would have seen it a month ago but i bought a Merkur XR4Ti instead. Trust me the MX6 is faster than a stock XR4Ti and the MX6 has 30+ hp less! [IMG] [/IMG] |

Oh, I definitely am.
![]() I just got the run-around from my loan officer today, though - he wanted me to get some information from the seller and said to call him back... he just failed to mention he was going to be gone for the rest of the day after that. Oh well. C'est la vie!The car is held for me - I already put down a deposit on it. Probably going to pick it up on Sunday. I'm excited. |

Right on man! I`ll give you some good Karma on your profiles reputation for a good new member start.
The 1st gen MX6 is crank rated at 145 hp/190 ft.lb tq. Because of that amazing F2T torque the MX6 tends to break cv axels. Along with torque you also get torque steer. Make sure to always have your suspension in good order or go with a stronger aftermarket suspension once your old one is shot. If you have driven the car yet you might notice getting sucked back into your seet when the turbo fully spools. This is because of the small IHI Turbo. If you go with a bigger turbo you will lose some of that initial torque that hits right away. Don't change turbos unless you running over 11 psi and have the bottom end redone. If i think of any other advice i ll post it later. Good luck and contact me if you ever have any questions, can't wait for you to get it! That car looks to be very clean. I would say $2,000 is a good price if the car is rust free. The car probably has at least another 100,000 miles left in it if you keep it up. What else can you buy for that cheap and be as reliable as these cars are?
BTW, check out my cardomain links. I have two white 88 GT's. |

Currently have two 1988 MX-6 GT 5 speeds, both white, one stock, one not. Also have a big ass Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 Diesel for fun.

You were wondering how long these engines last... Heres a video of one with high miles blowing up. It took 9 minutes open throttle. Looks like it might have no coolant and prob no oil. The video is just the last 3 minutes.

SinCity -
Those are some nice lookin' rides you've got there. I'll have to get some pictures up once I pick my car up. XR2B6T - I can't watch the video right now, cause YouTube is blocked at my work. I'll check it out when I get home. I'm fairly excited. Hehe. |
